About Allen Biotechnology Co

Biology is a design problem. We treat it like one.

Founded by structural biologists and machine-learning researchers, Allen Biotechnology Co exists to shorten the distance between a scientific insight and a working therapeutic.

Our mission

Make rational biologic design the default, not the exception

Most therapeutic candidates still fail late, after years of investment, because early design choices weren't grounded in structure. We build the computational and experimental infrastructure that lets teams make those choices correctly the first time — de-risking programs before they reach the clinic.

What guides us

Principles over process

Evidence before elegance

A model is only as good as the wet-lab data that validates it. We test relentlessly.

Shared incentives

Partnerships are structured so our success and our collaborators' success are the same outcome.

Speed with rigor

We move quickly because our processes are disciplined, not despite it.

Our path

From a two-person lab to a full discovery platform

2018

Founded

Started in a shared lab space with a single structure-prediction model and one target.

2020

First platform partner

Signed our first co-development agreement and opened an automated screening facility.

2023

Clinic-ready candidate

Advanced our first internally discovered oncology candidate into IND-enabling studies.

2026

140+ team members

Now running 34 active programs across oncology, immunology, and rare disease.
